Kate Sprehn, CP

Bankruptcy litigation doesn't slow down for anyone. After eight years inside bankruptcy and civil litigation practices, I know what it looks like when a caseload starts winning. I went independent to do something about it.

Mindful Paralegal Services isn't a staffing solution, it's a working partnership. I come in knowing the work, ready to lead it, and invested in the outcome. The attorneys I work with best are the ones who've realized that asking for help is how good practices get better.

My practice centers on Chapter 11 and Subchapter V bankruptcy, creditor's rights, and the litigation that follows in federal and state courts alike. Over eight years I've worked across the full case lifecycle, from pre-petition through confirmation, and into adversary proceedings and post-judgment enforcement. I've developed a working familiarity with even the most particular courtrooms and their procedural preferences (where the "normal course" means triple-checking page limits and having a dad-joke ready for the clerk on the phone).

Every engagement starts with a conversation. We talk through your caseload, identify where the pressure is, and figure out whether we're a good fit. I work with a small number of attorneys at a time which means when you're a client, you have my full attention. If we're the right match, we build from there.
